The first book in Olsen's vocabulary series, Interactive Vocabulary makes building vocabulary enjoyable with interactive exercises, an engaging four-color design, and high-interest readings.

Intended for students reading at the 6th–9th grade reading level, the third edition offers engaging readings on high-interest topics like popular culture, educational life, personal health, unusual inventions, and famous people, and keeps students interested while showing them how vocabulary is used in the context of a reading passage. The text encourages students to look for context clues to help them figure out the meaning of a word, and an optional CD-ROM with word pronunciations adds additional exercises.

FEATURES

• Thematic readings open every chapter. The readings focus on high-interest topics like movies, music, mysteries, sports stars, friendship, personal finance, and resume writing to keep students interested and engaged in the material.
