Olivia (Susy) Clemens
(1872–1896)

Olivia (Susy) Clemens was only 13 years old when she wrote "My Papa, Mark Twain" in her journal. Mark Twain, whose real name was Samuel Clemens, wrote the classic American novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, among others. Susy, the oldest of Twain's three daughters, was just 24 years old when she died. In his autobiography, Twain says of Susy's work, "I have had no compliment, no praise, no tribute from any source that was so precious to me as this one was and still is."
