Warren Lee Goss
(1835–1925)

Warren Lee Goss was just one of thousands of young men who enlisted in the Union and Confederate armies at the start of the American Civil War. At the time, many believed that the war would be over in sixty days, but it did not end for another four years. Goss was from Massachusetts and recorded his Civil War experiences in "Recollections of a Private."
