Richard Lederer
(b. 1938)

Richard Lederer makes his living as a fly-by-the-roof-of-the-mouth, user-friendly language guy. He writes a weekly column, "Looking at Language," and gives talks and visits schools all around the world. He has published more than 1,000 articles and books about language, including Anguished English, Pun and Games, and Crazy English. Lederer was selected International Punster of the Year in 1989. He is the Grammar Grappler for Writer's Digest, the national writing magazine, and a language commentator on National Public Radio.
