Barbara A. Lewis

Barbara A. Lewis is the author of Kids With Courage, a collection of young people's biographies. The book includes stories about kids who have faced extraordinary challenges, including two young men who saved a busload of children when the driver had a heart attack. As a teacher in Salt Lake City, Utah, Lewis encourages her students to get involved in their community. She has used her experience in the classroom to publish two books about student activism, The Kid's Guide to Service Projects and The Kid's Guide to Social Action.
