Jennifer Suri

teacher photoJennifer Suri attended Allendale-Columbia School in Rochester, New York. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Barnard College and her Master of Arts from Brown University, where she completed her thesis in Colonial American History under the mentorship of Gordon Wood. She has attended numerous seminars on European and nonwestern history, including two institutes sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. She has been selected to serve on the NEH seminar selection committee and has twice been nominated to Who's Who in American Teaching. She has taught at Marymount School of New York, Sheepshead Bay High School in Brooklyn, and The Bronx High School of Science. During her 13 years of teaching, she has taught Advanced Placement European History for ten years, and more recently, Advanced Placement Psychology. She has also mentored students on social science projects for the Intel competition. She is currently Assistant Principal of Social Studies at Stuyvesant High School in New York City.
