Jennifer Jordan

teacher photoJennifer Jordan graduated from Rice University with a double major in English and history. Certified to teach English and social studies, she started her career teaching reading. She then switched to English, teaching all levels from remedial to gifted and talented and Advanced Placement*. She gradually moved from teaching language arts to teaching history and social studies. She has taught world history, AP® American History, AP® European History, economics, and government. She has taught 11 years and has been teaching world history for the past 8 years.

After participating in a writing project, she was invited to become a writing project trainer herself. She served as a trainer for two years. In the summer of 2000, she was selected to participate in an AP® World History "Train the Trainers" institute conducted by the World History Association. The participants are expected to be able to train many world history teachers new to the AP® program and to prepare for the global focus of the test. She has been nominated twice for Who's Who Among American Teachers.
