Suzanne Marcus

teacher photoSuzanne Marcus graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a B.A. in English. After graduation, she worked for the Long Beach Public Library as an Information Assistant and later as a Librarian Trainee. She went on to earn her Masters of Library Science Degree from Long Island University in New York. In 1999, she became an A+ Certified Computer Technician. Currently, Ms. Marcus is working as a High School Library Media Specialist at Oceanside High School, Oceanside, New York. During her tenure there, she has worked closely with the Social Studies department in the integration of technology into the human relations curriculum.

Ms. Marcus was a presenter at the New York State Social Studies Conference in Rye, New York, and at the 80th NCSS Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, with colleagues in the Social Studies department. She is a member of a number of professional organizations, including The National Association of Educational Technology Specialists, Long Island School Library Media Specialists, and The American Library Association.
