Diana Muir

teacher photoDiana Muir is the Director of Curriculum for Intelligent Education, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia. She has a wide range of teaching experience, having taught in Nebraska, Hawaii, Montana, Arizona, and Iowa. She graduated with a B.A. in music education from Brigham Young University. (She also has an associate's degree in genealogy, also from Brigham Young University.) Later, she received a B.A. in history and sociology from Columbia College, a M.A. in sociology from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. in curriculum development/education from the University of Iowa.

In 1995, Ms. Muir founded the first totally online accredited K–12 school in the nation, the Iowa Digital Education Association. Widely published, Ms. Muir has spoken at the World Futures Convention, the International Conference for Technology and Education, and the NECC and NSBA conferences on the topic of online education and teaching methodologies. A certified AP® world history teacher, Ms. Muir supervises many online courses.
