LessonLab has created a complete K through Algebra teacher learning sequence with its LessonLab BreakThrough™ Mathematics modules. The first module for Prentice Hall Mathematics will be:

Solving Equations (Grades 6 to algebra)
The traditional approach to solving equations typically begins and ends with using inverse operations and the properties of equality to arrive at a solution. This module shows teachers how to establish connections between real-world situations and linear equations as well as how to demonstrate multiple ways equations can be solved. In addition, this module explains that an equation is a statement, which is not true or false until the unknown is replaced by a value. Finding a solution to an equation means finding a value that makes the equation true.
