Prentice Hall offers a variety of technological resources that you and your students can take advantage of both in and outside of the classroom. Below are a few of our most popular Web-based features.
Family Education Network
Learning Network, a Prentice Hall partner, provides helpful information and support to teachers, parents, and students. Site features include online lesson plans, information on national and state standards, customizable quizzes, and much more. The site also includes Myschoolonline, which enables you to create a class Web site, and Mygradebook, which allows you to e-mail parents about their children's grades. Learning Network also provides a section for parents, including advice on how to keep the lines of communication open between you and your students' parents.
PH School
At PH School, each discipline has its own home page. One notable feature is companion Web sites—sites that correlate to PH programs with student-specific and teacher-specific pages. Student pages include Internet activities and self-tests, as well as links to supplementary information. Teacher pages include detailed notes to accompany the student activities, reference links for additional information, and support materials.
Planet Diary
Planet Diary keeps students posted on phenomena happening to the Earth and its residents. A comprehensive calendar and articles update students and teachers on geological, astronomical, meteorological, biological, and environmental news. Planet Diary activities also correlate to many Prentice Hall Science programs and actively encourage student research on the Internet.
