About Virtual Labs:

Developed in conjunction with Brigham Young University Professor Brian Woodfield, Pearson’s virtual lab programs help teachers perform any lab or procedure that can be performed in a real lab.

Upon opening the program, students enter a simulated lab environment to perform any of over 30 pre-built labs that correspond to the program Student Edition. Complete storerooms for every lab contain all the materials needed for the experiment. These inquiry-based lab simulations allow students and teachers to perform any lab accurately and efficiently with no clean-up, and without safety and equipment issues.

Included in the robust array of virtual lab products are Virtual ChemLab, Virtual Earth Science, Virtual Physics, and Virtual Physical Science (for both Middle and High school). Each product is available in a Single-User CD-ROM format, and in a Network Version format, which allows a school to install the program unlimited times on the school’s system. Pearson’s Virtual Labs allow middle and high school students and teachers the ability to perform numerous experiments that they would otherwise not be able to perform due to time, cost, and safety concerns.

With Pearson’s Virtual Labs, middle school and high school teachers and students in Earth Science, Physical Science, Physics, and Chemistry classrooms are able to bring their lab experience to a new level – with no goggles required!
