Water, water everywhere ... or is it? Although we take access to clean, safe drinking water for granted, our water supplies are affected by a variety of factors. The most obvious example is the weather. Both flooding and drought can endanger water supplies. To monitor the water levels throughout the United States, visit the U.S. Geological Survey - National Water Conditions Map. Water quality is also affected by water pollution, and this is a factor that you can do something about.
