    Biotechnology is already revolutionizing medicine and agriculture, and it promises to have an even greater impact in the future. However, many people worry that by manipulating the genetics of organisms, we may be asking for trouble--that dire unforeseen consequences may lurk just around the corner. To fully evaluate the risks and benefits of biotechnology, it is useful to know a bit about the companies carrying out biotech and some of their current projects.
