- Cataloging Mammals
Chapter 27 - Mammals
One of the best places to learn about mammals is your local zoo.
Now, thanks to the convenience of the computer, you can visit
zoos both near and far. Here are some sites to get you started.
-
- National
Zoological Park Home Page
- Start with a virtual visit to our National Zoo. There's lots
of information about the animals in their collections, games,
a lecture center with illustrated slide shows, lots of animal
photos, and animal movies.
- Electronic Zoo
- This Washington University site isn't part of a real zoo,
but it is one of the richest sites about animals on the net.
There are hundreds of animal-related links, as well as electronic
journals, newsgroups, and mailing lists.
Some real-world zoos and animal parks with especially interesting
sites are:
- Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical
Garden
- Indianapolis Zoo
- Lincoln Park Zoo
- Philadelphia
Zoo
- San Diego Zoo
- Sea World/Busch Gardens
